The Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement cultivates engaged citizens, connects campus and community, and catalyzes change to foster thriving communities in St. Louis and beyond. The Gephardt Institute asked me to develop a cohesive visual identity that would increase awareness of their organization and streamline their marketing efforts. After conducting a marketing audit, competitive audit, and market research, Communications Manager Jen Thomas and I guided the institute through the development of the institute’s positioning strategy. I carried that strategy forward into a visual system that incorporates with Washington University’s branded system of colors and typefaces. Brightening like synapses at moments of convergence, the pathways motif highlights the Gephardt Institute’s unique role as a cultivator, catalyst, and connector.
This project is currently in production. All mockups reflect what the Gephardt Institute will have adopted by the Spring of 2018.
